# COIN

COIN is a mobile platform developed by XYO that lets users take part in the decentralized infrastructure of the XYO ecosystem. By using the app, participants contribute real-world data that supports XYO’s Proof of Location (PoL) network and earn COIN as rewards. These rewards can be redeemed for XYO tokens, other digital assets, or physical items.

As data-producing nodes, COIN connects everyday users to [XYO’s DePIN](https://docs.xyo.network/about-xyo/xyo-101/the-xyo-ecosystem). By collecting and verifying real-world data, COIN allows any user to benefit from the tokenomics of XYO: as they create data, they are rewarded for their efforts. The majority of COIN's users redeem for $XYO, the DePIN token of XYO.&#x20;
